Two Oklahoma teenagers are due in court to face accusations they stabbed their parents and three siblings to death in a rampage last summer.
Eighteen-year-old Robert Bever (BEH-vuhr) and 16-year-old Michael Bever have pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder. Prosecutor Steve Kunzweiler said they planned the crimes, but hasn't discussed a motive.
The teenagers' father was stabbed 28 times, while their mother had at least 48 wounds. Two family members survived — a toddler and a teenage girl. The girl plans to testify for prosecutors at Tuesday's preliminary hearing.
According to search warrants, one brother told police plans for the killings were stored on a computer thumb drive at the family home in Broken Arrow, a Tulsa suburb.
A judge rejected Michael Bever's request to be tried as a juvenile.
