Police have located the torched shell of an SUV that belonged to a missing pregnant Hawaii woman.

Police say Carly Scott's family last saw the 27-year-old redhead Sunday at her sister's home in Haiku, on the island of Maui.

Scott is five months pregnant.

Maui police Lt. William Juan tells the Honolulu Star-Advertiser Scott's badly burned SUV was found at Peahi, near the "Jaws" surf break.

Scott's ex-boyfriend, Steven Capobianco, tells Hawaii News Now she picked him up Sunday night and drove him to Keanae, about 25 miles from Haiku, so he could fix his truck. He says she was driving behind him back to Haiku, but he lost sight of her SUV around Twin Falls.

Capobianco says he didn't know anything was wrong until officers came to his house the next morning. He says police questioned him, but he "absolutely" did not hurt Scott.

Police haven't made any arrests or named any suspects
