LOS ANGELES – Two Los Angeles police officers have been wounded by gunfire, triggering a search for the gunman in South Los Angeles. .
Police Sgt. Cory Meisner says the officers suffered minor injuries after someone opened fire near the intersection of 65th Street and Broadway on Sunday evening.
KABC-TV reports the officers were in plain clothes at the time of the shooting and returned fire.
Police set up barriers several blocks around the intersection to search for the gunman.
No further details were released.
