The Buffalo bar credited with inventing the spicy chicken wings now known as Buffalo-style wings has reopened after one kitchen employee was killed and another was wounded in a shooting.
The Anchor Bar reopened Sunday, two days after a man walked into the kitchen and fatally shot 32-year-old Freddie Dizon. Police say a ricocheting bullet grazed a co-worker who was treated and released.
The gunman remains at large Monday.
The shooting occurred around 7 p.m. Friday in the kitchen at the landmark tavern, where the first Buffalo-style wings were served in 1964.
Police say the gunman targeted Dizon, but have provided no additional information.
Dizon's older brother, Danny Gomez of Salt Lake City, Utah, said his sibling had three children and worked at the restaurant for about eight years.
