The relatives of an Illinois man slain during a botched robbery say they fear for their safety after the killer escaped from jail this week.
As the manhunt continues, Nelson Williams Sr. of Kankakee tells WLS-TV he goes home every night worried the man convicted of his son's murder could ambush him.
In a courthouse outburst in February, 23-year-old Kamron T. Taylor shouted at the family minutes after hearing the guilty verdict.
Williams says Taylor shouted, "I'm going to get you (expletive)."
Taylor escaped before dawn Wednesday from a jail in the eastern Illinois city after beating a guard unconscious, stealing his uniform and driving off in his SUV.
The Kankakee County sheriff has warned the public that Taylor has a weapon and "will not hesitate to use it."
