An attorney for the man accused of killing Trayvon Martin says he won't need time in April for a judge to hold a separate hearing on Florida's "stand your ground" law.
George Zimmerman defense attorney Mark O'Mara said Tuesday that he hasn't yet made a decision on whether to file a formal motion for an immunity hearing.
If such a hearing is held, the judge could decide whether Zimmerman is exempt from being charged in the shooting under Florida's self-defense law.
The attorney says he is focusing on the trial scheduled for June 10. He has previously said that he hoped to wrap the issue over Zimmerman's immunity into the trial. Judge Debra Nelson has said she is open to doing that.
