RENO, Nev. – In stories June 27-28 about the fatal crash of a truck into an Amtrak train, The Associated Press, relying on information from the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles, erroneously reported that truck driver Lawrence R. Valli had received speeding tickets for driving a school bus over the posted speed limit in California. Valli's citations were received while driving a commercial vehicle and not a school bus.
