The U.S. Coast Guard rescued a 66-year-old woman who needed medical care from the Carnival cruise ship Sensation.
The Coast Guard said in a news release that cruise ship officials notified them early Tuesday that a passenger was suffering from a respiratory issue and needed additional medical care. The ship was directed to make its way to the Key West Sea Buoy to wait for a rescue crew.
A Coast Guard boat crew launched from Key West and transferred the woman. She was taken to Key West where she received further medical treatment.
