Authorities say a burglary suspect has died in custody after deputies used a stun gun on him and he was handcuffed.
Pasco County deputies say Torrey Robinson broke through a window Saturday, cut up his arms and fought with the home's resident. He then fought police and emergency medical services personnel who arrived on the scene.
Police used a stun gun to subdue the 35-year-old man and handcuffed him. He was being treated for his cuts while handcuffed and lost consciousness. EMTs tried to revive him. He was pronounced dead at a hospital.
Pasco Sheriff Chris Nocco said the event is being investigated.
