3 Colorado students, teacher taken to hospital after school chemical incident

Three students and a teacher have been taken to a hospital after authorities said some type of chemical device went off at SkyView Academy in Highlands Ranch.

Nine other patients are still being evaluated after the incident Tuesday before noon.

Douglas County sheriff's spokesman Ron Hanavan says authorities are not sure if it was deliberate or an accident.

Hanavan says parents are being asked to pick their students from the school gym.
