A 22-year-old man and his girlfriend accused of killing two children and four adults in a Chicago home in February are set to make their initial court appearances.
Police announced the arrests Thursday of Diego Uribe and 19-year-old Jafeth Ramos. Both are charged with first-degree murder and due in court Friday.
Police say the break in the case came Wednesday, when DNA evidence matched Uribe, a nephew of one of the victims. Police say cellphone records also put Uribe at the scene and that his motive was to rob the family for money. Police say Ramos was an accomplice.
Authorities found the bodies of four adults and two children, ages 10 and 13, on Feb. 4. Five victims were stabbed to death; the sixth died of multiple gunshot wounds.
