NEW DEBATE OVER MULTICULTURALISM AND WHEATHER IT'S FUELING ISIS PROBLEM
CHARLES PAYNE: In America its dangerous to say multiculturalism because I think it means something different. But I think that if you say its unfettered multiculturalism in the sense that these western nations around the world, particularly Europe but in America to, we have welcomed poor people from around the world with open arms with the promise of coming here and getting a lot of free stuff and not having to do anything for it- not having to learn the language, not having to assimilate to it- and as they stay here longer they expect more and more, and we can't afford to give it to them- so there becomes these cesspools of anger and they go to ISIS groups. We are luckier than Europe because we have a common Christian values with the majority of people coming here. Europe is in a world of hurt that is going to get ugly over the next couple of years.
CHARLIE GASPARINO: We are becoming what happened in Yugoslavia. It does rub me the wrong way when people describe us as being a Christian nation- I don't like that. We should be a nation of one, people should be whatever they want to be. What we have here-what we have had for many years was a melting pot. We have turned that into multiculturalism, who forced that into school systems- the left- changed the culture back in the 60s today/ To speak out against multiculturalism on a college campus is asking to have your head cut off.
DAGEN MCDOWELL: What Britain is dealing with is different- we don't see that here. Where you have ethnic groups that are completely isolated... they never become part of the national society, the economic society.
BEN STEIN: Multiculturalism is poison. Let's call a spade a spade- this is mostly Muslim/Arab militant immigrants who do not sign onto America as serving a god of love, or as being a people of toleration. We are taking into this country basically people who hate America. Why are we taking into this country people who hate America? We are taking into America cancerous immigrants who want to kill us.
ADAM LASHINSKY: Not only not all of them, but not most of them. Sure we have trouble makers- we have trouble makers in every group. The founding fathers anticipated this conversation and set up a system where we could bring in all kinds of people and its working.
CHARLIE GASPARINO: The founding fathers envisioned as system of a melting pot - they did not envision multiculturalism.
CHARLES PAYNE: What we are looking at is a powder keg. I think America is still a model for how it is done. I think the mistake Europe made was allowing these people to come in, they wrecked their own communities, put up satellite TVs so they only get news from the homeland, never learned the language.
NANNY STATE IN FOCUS AS FOOD-STAMPS USE STARTS TO FALL
CHARLES PAYNE: Let's get people off food stamps and into America. They seduce people into the food stamps, but it's hard to get them off.
CHARLIE GASPARINO: The good news here is that it shows people that not all people on welfare are lazy and that they want to work.
DAGEN MCDOWELL: This should have happened years ago.
ADAM LASHINSKY: We are recognizing the value of the trend- it is down. The important thing is not only people on welfare are looking to get off welfare, but the so called nanny state - the government- is looking to cut it back too.
BEN STEIN: Businesses can't get people to work, they try to get people to work and people would rather stay on food stamps and welfare. The general picture of the laziness of the people at the bottom of the workforce is pathetic.
HILLARY CLINTON CALLS FOR INCETIVES, POLICIES TO ENCOURAGE "CLEAN" ENERGY
BEN STEIN: Spend more green, and then channel that green to more people in the Democratic Party. A lot of Democrats have gotten very rich from green energy. Shale oil and shale gas have become the life savers not green energy.
ADAM LASHINSKY: We have made a lot of mistakes with our green energy policies, but that doesn't mean it's not worth pursuing.
CHARLIE GASPARINO: For Hillary this is an easy thing, since she is probably running for President. If you are Hillary you have to kiss up to the environmental movement.
DAGEN MCDOWELL: This is about political contributions and money- I am not a believer that green energy is a vote getter.
