COPPELL, Texas – Police in Texas say a woman has died in an apparent drowning at the same swimming pool where her two children drowned less than a year ago.
Police discovered 35-year-old Van Ha Stocco lying near the pool at her home in Coppell Wednesday afternoon. She was pronounced died at Las Colinas Medical Center.
The Dallas Morning News reports that it's unclear who found Stocco and called police. It's not clear if the death was intentional or an accident. An autopsy is being conducted but there were no signs of foul play.
The woman's children, 3-year-old Marcus Stocco and his 1-year-old sister Catherine Stocco, drowned last July 8.
Authorities say Matthew Stocco, their father, told them he found the children at the bottom of the pool but couldn't revive them.
