TAMPA, Fla. – The woman charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of a Florida Lottery winner has been ordered held without bail.
Dorice "Dee Dee" Moore appeared before a Hillsborough County judge Saturday morning.
Detectives say Abraham Shakespeare was killed at a home in a rural town east of Tampa in April 2009, about three years after taking a $17 million lump sum on a winning Lottery ticket.
Moore is accused of befriending Shakespeare and scamming him out of money.
Shakespeare's body was found last month buried behind a home Moore owns with her boyfriend.
Moore had previously been charged as an accessory to Shakespeare's murder. Moore has said she did not kill him.
No one else has been charged in the death.
