WASHINGTON – Prosecutors say they plan to call a witness to testify that he or she was attacked and stabbed on a jogging trail by a man who looked like the suspect in the Chandra Levy slaying.
An evidentiary notice filing was made late Thursday in D.C. Superior Court. Prosecutors alerted Ingmar Guandique's attorneys that they plan to call the witness to testify. Guandique has a hearing set for Friday.
According to the documents, the witness identified Guandique as the man who ran up from behind on a jogging trail, pushed the witness to the ground, then stabbed the witness in the back. The document did not identify the witness or where the attack occurred.
The 27-year-old Guandique is charged with first-degree murder in the slaying of Levy.
