Whitney Port's New 'Reality' Show Already Exposed as Fake?

LOS ANGELES – Let’s face it "The Hills" wasn’t exactly a real reality show, but it is already starting to look as though Whitney Port’s spin-off "The City" is even more err, scripted.

Port and co-star Olivia Palermo both attended Grey Goose’s Ball for Charity in New York last week where they filmed the highly anticipated MTV show. According to our inside source, every moment the girls weren’t repeating the same scene over and over (which went on for more than two hours) they excitedly stood behind the lens and chatted happily like close friend, despire the fact that they’re portrayed as enemies on the show.

Meanwhile host Adrian Grenier told the audience during the auction that he would do a shot at the bar with every person who pledged $5,000 to fund a water well for the organization. And from what we’re told, the "Entourage" star had quite a few promises to keep …

Grenier will be jetting into Australia next week with his new-wave folk band The Honey Brothers where they are scheduled to perform at numerous high-profile gigs and if his visit Down Under last year is anything to go by, he’ll have plenty of ladies to occupy his time in every city for every different night of the week. The 32-year-old’s ex-girlfriend Isabel Lucas touched down in her homeland last week to spend Christmas with her family and according to a pal, plans to stay well away from Grenier and his groupies.

Jessica Simpson Having Fun Fattening Up Tony Romo

Jessica Simpson is on the rise when it comes to her professional life as she continues to make movies, music, apparel and the recent launch of her second fragrance "Fancy." But ever since she hooked up with Dallas QB Tony Romo, it seems the pop princess-turned-country crooner has become more dedicated to nurturing her personal life.

"My personality is now more stay-at-home; right now I'm doing the Christmas tree and everything. I'm in Dallas and its fun, Tony (Romo) hasn’t had Christmas in 7 years because they have football every Christmas and he can’t go home," Simpson told Tarts last week. "So I’m bringing Christmas to him this year and it’s been fun. I’ve been out ornament shopping and all kinds of stuff, so that's more of who I am."

And even though Ms. Simpson certainly has a sexy little bod, she insisted that she survives on sugary delights.

"Believe it or not, I like to bake pies," she added. "Tony’s favorite is pumpkin pie and I haven't mastered that yet. Maybe I'm more of a baker; I like to make cakes, more fattening. I make a good carrot cake."

Hmmm, we don’t know how pleased Romo’s teammates will be with Simpson if their star player turns up to training a little too loved — or love-handled — up …

Holly Madison & Criss Angel Make Magic With Money

Even though Criss Angel's Las Vegas Magic Show "Believe" hasn't exactly been an overwhelming success and Holly Madison has officially hung up her Hefner Playboy booties, the celeb couple was certainly financially generous to unknown guests at their joint birthday bash on Friday night.

Angel (who just turned 41) and Madison (who turns 29 on December 23) hit up Sin City hotspot LAX along with 50 pals like fellow "Girls Next Door" dame Bridget Marquardt, who made a cameo. Kendra Wilkinson, however, was a no-show.

Once again, Angel and Madison expressed their inability to keep their feelings for one another contained as they kissed and caressed intimately all night long.

Jumping on the mic to thank fans for joining in on their birthday festivities, the couple made a bit of real magic and let it rain over the crowd with one-hundred dollar bills as a very special surprise in the spirit of "Christmas and Hanukkah." Perhaps if illusionist Angel tried this technique at his own show, tickets sales would most certainly improve.

A rep for Lavigne denied the divorce rumors or any relationship problems.

Ryan Boozes Up on Abbie’s Big Night

Abbie Cornish was the belle of the ball in Sydney last week as she hosted a lavish 40th Anniversary party for Calvin Klein and brought along her beau, Ryan Phillippe. The two stayed close and cozy for most of night and the "Cruel Intentions" star certainly didn’t hold back when it came to the free-flow of booze.

Phillippe is spending Christmas with the Cornish family, sparking speculation that a rock might not be too far away.

"Things are definitely very serious between them," an inside source confirmed.

We’re also told that Phillippe is less-than-impressed with the Australian paparazzi and like Nicole Kidman, Heath Ledger and other stars have said in the past, finds them among the worst in the world.
