Toddler Survives After Pickup Truck Hits, Drags Her 25 Feet

A 2-year-old girl survived being dragged 25 feet under a pickup truck in a mishap at a Plain City day care center.

Paramedics who responded to the scene say her only visible injuries were cuts on the face. The girl is receiving care at Primary Children's Hospital.

Police say another 6-year-old girl was waiting Wednesday in the truck for her father, who was talking to another adult. She turned the truck on, wanting to listen to music.

The truck lurched forward, knocking through a fence and hitting the 2-year-old.

After being dragged, the toddler was pinned under the truck's rear axle. Police and bystanders lifted the truck with a jack and removed the girl.

Police don't expect to file charges.
