I've said it before, I'll say it again. And again. And again, after that.
This isn't about cookies.
Or trans fats.
This is about cutting through the fat, and getting the skinny on what's really going on.
Because this isn't about what we eat.
But what we are.
And more importantly, what others want us to be.
People who have little faith in what we eat.
Or what mortgage we sign.
So they protect us…from us...from eating food they consider bad.
And mortgages they consider risky.
It's like we've removed the risk and half the calories.
It almost sounds too good to be true.
Because life is about choices, and the responsibility that comes with those choices.
Don't read your mortgage when you know you could be going in too deep? Don't look to the government to bail you out once you have.
Don't watch what you eat and surprised you're suddenly fat? Don't sue the fast food joint you frequented and blame it for making you fat.
We are what we eat, what we sign, what we do.
They all make up what we are.
Not what someone else, or worse, the government says we should be.
Some might say it pays to do good, but it's good to remember we're the ones who end up paying...and paying...and paying.
Because this isn't just about the cookie crumbling.
If we're not careful, this could be about America crumbling.
