The president traveled to Ohio Monday in an effort to sell his health care bill, and he drew on the case of Ohio resident Natoma Canfield to make his pitch for reform.

PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA: She just couldn't afford it. She didn't have the money. She realized that if she paid those health insurance premiums that had been jacked up by 40 percent, she couldn't make her mortgage.

And despite her desire to keep her coverage, despite her fears that she would get sick and lose the home that her parents built, she finally surrendered, she finally gave up her health insurance.

So you want to know why I'm here, Ohio? I'm here because of Natoma. I'm here because of the countless others who have been forced to face the most terrifying challenges in their lives with the added burden of medical bills they can't pay.

As usual, the anointed one did not give us the full story.

Canfield is currently battling leukemia at Cleveland Clinic, a state-of-the-art facility that the president has commended many times. A spokesman for the clinic told Fox News that "she may be eligible for state Medicaid… and/or she will be eligible for charity [care] of some form or type… In my personal opinion she will be eligible for something," adding that the Cleveland clinic will not put a lien on her home.

We wish Miss Canfield all the best in her fight against this terrible disease. We're glad she is getting the treatment and the care she needs. We also wish the president would be straight with the American people.

Tip of the Iceberg

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi revealed Monday that the Democrat's horrible health care bill may just be the tip of the iceberg of their grand plan.

The San Francisco speaker told a group of reporters that, "My biggest fight has been between those who wanted to do something incremental and those who wanted to do something comprehensive. We won that fight, and once we kick through this door, there will be more legislation to follow."

Wow, Princess Pelosi really has her finger on the pulse of America; more legislation just like the health care bill is really what you the American people want.

If you needed any more reason to oppose this bill, there you have it.

Another Mystery Sign

Minnesota residents are once again being treated to a drive down memory lane. You may remember last month when all the buzz was surrounding this sign along Interstate-35. Well now the billboard movement appears to be going old school.

Take a look at what just popped up outside the Minneapolis St. Paul area alongside Interstate-94. It's a massive billboard featuring President Ronald Reagan now asking the question, "Remember real hope and change?"

According to HotAir.com, Franklin Outdoor Advertising has confirmed the existence of this billboard despite Internet rumors suggesting that this is all part of a Photoshop hoax.

That's funny, I don't ever remember seeing any Jimmy Carter billboards over the years. Do you?

The Goreacle Speaks

It has been a long and cold winter for the global warming alarmists. First they told us that the record-breaking blizzards that endured over the past few months were caused by global warming, and now they say that climate change is behind last weekend's heavy rainstorms in the Northeast.

And guess who is leading the charge? Everyone's favorite former vice president, Al Gore.

According to BusinessandMedia.org, Gore held a conference call Monday with some of his fellow alarmist in which he said, "Just look at what has been happening for the last three days. The so-called skeptics haven't noted it because it's not snow… But the downpours and heavy winds are consistent with what the scientists have long warned about."

Yes, Al. Scientists have also been known to warn that April showers bring May flowers. So, Mr. Vice President, when you see the flowers in May, consider yourself warned.
