Tarantino Wants Third 'Kill Bill' - in 15 Years

MADRID, Spain – Quentin Tarantino (search) said Monday he plans to shoot a third part of the "Kill Bill" vengeance series.

"I have plans, actually not right away, but like in 15 years from now, I'll do a third version of this saga," the American film director told a news conference called to promote "Kill Bill — Vol. 2," (search) which opens in Spain next month.

Tarantino said part three would center on a girl named Nicky, daughter of a hired killer that Uma Thurman's character bumps off as part of a spree of revenge killings.

Thurman plays The Bride, who seeks revenge on her former lover and boss Bill after he kills her fiance on their wedding day and leaves her comatose.

Tarantino said he set his goals high in shooting the two films.

"'Good,' that wouldn't have been good enough. 'Well done' would have been an insult. I was doing the movie to do some of the greatest actions scenes ever made," he said.

Asked if violence seduce audiences, Tarantino said: "You better believe it. I mean that's one of the reasons why it's so cinematic. It can be very enthralling. I've always said Thomas Edison invented the movie camera to show people killing and kissing."

Tarantino was also asked why there was no nudity in part two of the series and if this reflected what a reporter called puritanical sentiment in the United States.

"I like seeing beautiful girls' skin as well as any other pervert," Tarantino said. "But that wasn't this movie. I didn't want to sexualize the girls to that extent because I wanted them to be empowering to women and not eye candy for guys."
