Talabani to Visit U.S.

BAGHDAD, Iraq – President Jalal Talabani (search) will visit the United States next month to meet with President Bush and lead Iraq's delegation at the U.N. General Assembly, Talabani's spokesman said Saturday.

Kamran Qaradaghi (search) did not give an exact date for the trip but said Talabani will deliver a speech at the United Nations. It will be the Kurdish Talabani's first visit to the United States since becoming Iraq's president in April.
