ACTON, Calif. – Authorities say an Antelope Valley boy may have killed himself in a high school restroom where students found him shot to death.
Officials say the 14-year-old Vasquez High School student was found with a single gunshot wound to the head around 1 p.m. Monday in Acton.
Los Angeles County sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore told the Los Angeles Times it appears the boy killed himself. He says the body was discovered by other students.
Sheriff's homicide detectives are investigating the death.
The boy's name has not been released.
The school enrolls about 580 students.
