Solange Knowles Has Baby Boy

"Solo Star" singer Solange Knowles (search), little sister of Beyonce, has given birth to a baby boy, according to her publicist.

Knowles, 18, gave birth in Los Angeles to Daniel Julez J. Smith (search) on Oct. 18, said Marcus R. Harris of Music World-Sanctuary, which manages Knowles, Beyonce and other artists.

"The whole family is very excited about their new gift of life," Harris said Tuesday.

Knowles wed Daniel Smith, a college football player, in a ceremony in the Bahamas in February.

She appeared in the movie "Johnson Family Vacation" (search) and released her debut CD, "Solo Star," last year.
