Sirius Satellite Radio Inc (SIRI) on Tuesday said its quarterly net loss widened with higher spending for programing and other costs, but posted an increase in subscribers for its fee-based radio service.

Sirius said its third-quarter net loss grew to $180.5 million, or 14 cents per share, from $169.4 million, or 14 cents per share, a year ago.

The company added 359,294 subscribers in the quarter for a total of 2.17 million, and raised its full-year forecast to more than 3 million.
