A former manager of singer and songwriter Seal on Thursday won a court judgment claiming he was owed commissions from the artist's first two albums.
Justice Charles Gray ruled in favor of John Wadlow, former manager of the artist whose real name is Henry Olusegun Adeola Samuel.
Wadlow claimed he was entitled to unpaid commissions due under an agreement in 1995. Both of the albums in question were recorded before that date.
The judge ordered Seal to make an interim payment of 500,000 pounds ($922,000), but the full amount to be paid to Wadlow will be decided at a future court hearing.
