'Scarface' Tops Video-Game Charts
LOS ANGELES – Vivendi's "Scarface: The World Is Yours," inspired by the 1983 violent crime thriller starring Al Pacino as a Miami drug lord, debuted at No. 1 on the U.S. video game chart for October, market research firm NPD said on Monday.
The PlayStation 2 version of that game bumped Electronic Arts Inc.'s (ERTS) "Madden NFL 07" football game from the top spot. "Madden," also for Sony Corp.'s (SNE) PS2, fell to third place.
Ubisoft's spy thriller "Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Double Agent" for Microsoft Corp.'s (MSFT) Xbox 360 debuted at No. 2.

Nintendo Co. Ltd.'s "Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team" for its Game Boy Advance handheld player took the No. 4 spot while "Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team" for its double-screened Nintendo DS player grabbed the sixth position.
Midway Games Inc.'s (MWY) "Mortal Kombat: Armageddon," the latest installment in the fighting game series, debuted at No. 5.
Electronic Arts, the world's biggest video game publisher, had three other PS2 sports titles in the top 10 for October. "NBA Live 07," "FIFA Soccer 07" and "Tiger Woods PGA Tour O7" landed at numbers 7, 8 and 10, respectively.
"Bully," the school yard fighting title from Take-Two Interactive Software Inc. (TTWO) debuted at No. 9 on the heels of good critical reviews.
