Police clashed with pro-Tibet protesters Saturday outside the Chinese consulate in Sydney, Australia's largest city, local media reported.

Australian Associated Press reported five protesters were arrested and that officers used batons and capsicum spray against the protesters. No injuries or damage to the consulate were reported.

A phone call to the consulate went unanswered and authorities were not immediately available for comment.

The protest followed demonstrations Friday in the Tibetan capital, Lhasa, that reportedly left at least 10 people dead.
