A school janitor in Minnesota has been arrested after police in Kansas set up a sting operation to catch older men communicating with a teen in Kansas.

William Peter Foxley, 44, a night maintenance worker at a middle school in Lino Lakes, Minn., was arrested Thursday after Kansas authorities launched an investigation into a 15-year-old girl's inappropriate communication with adult males, TwinCities.com reports.

One of the phone numbers in the Sabetha, Kan., teen's notebook purportedly belonged to Foxley, and when Kansas police asked a neighbor to pose as a teen girl named Julie, officials received a string of explicit messages from a man in Minnesota named "Bill," who told her he worked at Centennial Middle School, where Foxley is employed as a janitor, TwinCities.com reports.

"I love you Julie!! U R my every thought these dayz. We will rule the water/funn park!! And have funn in the changing room!!! ... Trust me u won't be a virgin for long baby..!!" "Bill" wrote in a text message Wednesday, according to the paper.

Last week, officials searched the janitor's home, confiscating adult videos, his phone, marijuana plants and an atlas with Sabetha circled on the map of Kansas. Authorities said he planned a trip to Kansas, but canceled at the last minute.

Foxley remained in jail Monday as a "fugitive from justice," the site said. He has not been charged. His first court appearance is scheduled for April 9.
