Report: Jenny McCarthy Files for Divorce

Jenny McCarthy (search) and her husband, John Asher (search), have filed for divorce after nearly six years of marriage.

The TV star and former Playboy playmate and Asher filed for divorce in a Los Angeles court, Us Weekly reported Friday. The magazine reported the couple are citing "irreconcilable differences."

McCarthy, 32, married Asher, a 34-year-old film director, in Sept. 1999. They met when Asher directed McCarthy in the 1999 film "Diamonds."

The couple has a 3-year-old son, Evan.

A call to McCarthy's publicist was not immediately returned.

McCarthy is currently starring in the new UPN sitcom, "The Bad Girl's Guide." Her previous work includes MTV shows "Singled Out" and "The Jenny McCarthy Show" and the short-lived 1997 NBC sitcom "Jenny."
