President Bush likely will not make a stop at the tomb of Yasser Arafat on his visit that will take him near the former Palestinian leader's final resting place next week.
The Jerusalem Post reports that an unnamed source in the U.S. consulate in Jerusalem said: "I'm not aware of any plan to lay a wreath at Arafat's tomb. ... This issue was not raised during preparations for President Bush's tour and I doubt if he would do so."

Bush's trip is scheduled to begin Jan. 8. He is expected to visit Israeli cities of Jericho, Bethlehem and Ramallah, where the former Palestinian Authority leader is laid to rest.
One unnamed senior Palestinian Authority source told The Jerusalem Post that his group is disappointed, "although we weren't surprised" to hear of Bush's plans.
On the nine-day trip, Bush also is scheduled to stop in Kuwait, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Egypt.
