A small earthquake has rattled the San Diego coast but there are no reports of damage or injuries.
The U.S. Geological Survey says an offshore quake with a preliminary magnitude of 4.0 jolted the area at 7:34 a.m. Saturday. It was centered 19 miles southwest of La Jolla and 22 miles west of the coastal town of Coronado.
A Coronado police dispatcher says she felt a brief shake but no one reported any damage or injuries.
