Tennessee prosecutors want to try a 15-year-old boy as an adult in last week's fatal shooting of a classmate in the middle of a crowded school cafeteria.
Jamar Siler is charged with first-degree murder in last Thursday's shooting death of 15-year-old Ryan McDonald at Knoxville's Central High School. The victim's friends said the pair had a previous dispute.

John Gill, a special assistant to the district attorney, says the prosecution will try to move the case to adult criminal court. If convicted in juvenile court he could not be held past the age of 19. In adult court, the sentence could be at least 51 years in prison.
A juvenile court judge will decide at a hearing on Oct. 9.
