LOS ANGELES – Heidi Klum has made a living roaming the runways in pretty much next-to-nothing, but the Victoria's Secret supermodel does have one fear which involves her musician husband, Seal.
"No more singing," Klum said while unveiling "The Heidi Klum Collection for Very Sexy Makeup" at a VS store in Los Angeles on Thursday. "I promise, I won't sing again."
Last year Klum took to the microphone with her husband Seal at the label’s famous fashion show for a duet, a move she obviously regrets. While the German-born beauty can hold a decent-enough tune, we're told by insiders that the performance caused her a great deal of pain.
"Heidi doesn’t want to sing again, the experience was really scary for her and particularly because of how good her husband [Seal] is, it just wasn’t something she enjoyed," a pal said.
So it looks as though Klum is going to stick to what she does best — baring her body while strutting in "Angel" wings. The 35-year-old has already started practicing for the Nov. 15 lingerie show in Miami and even turned up to her makeup day dressed as a butterfly, although Heidi is expected to be upstaged by fellow supermodel Adriana Lima.
That Brazilian babe has been given this year’s honors of prancing in Martin Katz’s Black Diamond Fantasy Bra, worth a cool $5 million. Pop Tarts has also confirmed that Usher will be following in the footsteps of Justin Timberlake and the Spice Girls by headlining the 2008 show.
But back to Klum, we’ve also been told that the television host is "totally over" the ordeal of being snubbed by Jennifer Lopez. Lopez was scheduled to be a guest judge on the season finale of "Project Runway" last month but bailed out at the last minute, citing a dramatic foot injury. Two days later J-Lo competed in the Malibu Triathlon without any problems before flying back to New York to celebrate her hubby’s 40th birthday.
"Heidi’s not upset, she never really was," our source said. "If anyone, it’s the producers that would still be mad."
Michael Phelps Cashes In, Manny’s Wife Pulls the Stops
Michael Phelps is certainly cashing in on his post-Olympics fame. An insider told Tarts that the swimming sensation's high appearance fee would have earned him almost $500,000 for his cameo on the hit HBO show "Entourage."
But the 23-year-old seems to have quite the entourage of his own and was spotted lapping up the VIP treatment at Sin City hotspot Prive on Monday night. We’re told Phelps (plus a very cute brunette lady friend) and a posse pals arrived shortly after midnight where they hung out at the exclusive table 69 with two magnum bottles of Perrier-Jouet Rose, compliments of the swim star.
Phelps was seen exercising his lips quite extensively in his roped-off area with the young lady, believed to be Miss California runner-up Nicole Johnson. The twosome reportedly left together around 2 a.m.
But speaking of "Entourage", Tarts has also been told that L.A. Dodgers star Manny Ramirez was ready to ink a deal to appear on the show — that was until wife Juliana pulled the plug and insisted she didn’t want her baseball beau anywhere near the heat of Hollywood people. A little jealousy perhaps?
Michael Jackson Escapes to L.A., Zach Levi Injured on 'Chuck' Set
Michael Jackson has found himself at the center of another controversy after moving into a mansion opposite a primary school in Las Vegas, prompting an outcry from parents. So when the going gets tough, M.J. knows it is best to bump out — which is exactly what he did on Thursday by making a dash to Los Angeles.
Pop Tarts spies spotted Jackson making a move through Beverly Hills where he apparently appeared in good spirits and was full of smiles. Although another eyewitness said it looked as though there was "no-one really there."
Meanwhile Zach Levi, star of NBC's "Chuck" was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles this week after clashing with a camera on the set. Levi reportedly required several stitches in his head.
According to an inside source Levi is back at work as normal. His rep declined to comment.
Cloris Leachman Loses It
At 82, Cloris Leachman has managed to surprise us all with her foxtrotting feet and status as a favorite to take home this years "Dancing With the Stars" tiara. But according to our inside source, the Academy-Award winner couldn't contain herself at rehearsal earlier this week.
We’re told Leachman held it a little too long ... and well ... had an embarrassing moment, losing it all over her less-than-impressed dance partner, Corky Ballas. Oops! But hey it happens to the best of us sometimes, right?
We’ve also heard whispers that the big-wigs behind 'DWTS' are less-than-impressed with Cloris for what comes out of mouth. In the live taping on Monday evening, Cloris referred to herself as a "skanky ho" even after being warned by host Samantha Harris that there were to be "no swear words."
"It’s a family-friendly show and they’ve had enough," our source said.
A rep for Leachman declined to comment.
