Sean "Diddy" Combs and Cameron Diaz were partying like it was 1999 on Friday night, as guests from Charlie Sheen's wedding to Brooke Mueller are said to have rushed right down the street to Prince's personal palace.

While the music legend was playing (between 1:30 a.m. and 3 a.m.), we're told Diddy reached over and gave a "surprised" Diaz a playful peck.

"Diddy and Cameron were kind of flirting and chatting together for most of the night," an eyewitness said.

Reps for Diddy and Diaz did not respond for comment, though Diddy told the New York Daily News that "we are just friends."

"It is ridiculous that two celebrities of the opposite sex can't just hang out with a group of friends without it being reported as more than that," he told the paper.

Let's hope that the rumors that they are "an item" aren't true, as we're also told that one of Diddy's peeps approached a pretty blonde girl to get her digits for the high-profile rapper later that night.

Music mogul Prince was celebrating the launch of his new book "21 Nights" (which offers a rare glimpse into the existence of Mr. Purple Rain) and even performed some classics for his party people, including "Cream", "1999" and of course "Purple Rain."

Only Prince could have drawn such an eclectic, A-list crowd, which also included Olivia Newton-John, Dr. Phil McGraw, Sylvester Stallone, Eddie Murphy, Dave Navarro, Christina Milian and Babyface.

Meanwhile, a "special effort" was reportedly made to ensure that Murphy and Babyface stayed as far apart as possible throughout the evening.

"We didn't want any problems," an inside source said.

Murphy married Babyface's ex Tracey Edmonds on New Year's Day this year (although they split just two weeks later).

Speaking of book launches and parties, while Prince was prepping his party house on Friday, another interesting group of stars was celebrating their book releases at the swanky Rodeo 208 restaurant in Beverly Hills.

Pop Tarts had the honor of dining with Hollywood legends including Henry Winkler (the "Fonz"), Don Felder (The Eagles) and the iconic Tony Curtis. Mind you, he may be celebrating his 83rd birthday (just Tuesday in fact) but he still proved himself to be the most charming person in the room — kissing all the ladies and drawing us all pictures on our place cards.

But all the book-related bashes weren't for just any reason. Los Angeles played host to the Book Expo over the weekend, and as the high-profile event only hits Tinseltown once every four years, it's no surprise everyone gets carried away.

What the ...? Kevin Federline Named 'Father of the Year'

First Dina Lohan was named "Mother of the Year" by an organization in Long Island, N.Y., and now Kevin Federline has been awarded the honor of Father of the Year by Sin City nightclub Prive.

K-Fed makes regular hosting appearances in Las Vegas and is set to make another at Prive on June 13 as he accepts his swanky new title just in time for Father's Day.

No word yet whether Sean Preston and Jayden James will make cameo appearances.

Laila Ali Compares Dad to Hogan

"American Gladiator" starlet and the daughter of one of America's most iconic athletes, Laila Ali, has put someone else other than her father on a pedestal. But is Hulk Hogan really a match for former Heavyweight Champion of the World Muhammad Ali?

"I can tell when someone is being fake and Hulk was pretty much what I had expected. I’ve been a fan of him as a man since 'Hogan Knows Best' — just watching him handle his family and his kids, he is a stand-up guy and that’s rare," Laila said recently while promoting "American Gladiators."

"My expectations of people are very high just because of who my father is and how he is," she continued. "Hulk reminded me of my father a lot."

Laila continued to describe her legendary father as somebody who is "sometimes too nice" and has "never stepped on anyone to get ahead."

But back to Ali, the former "Dancing With the Stars" contestant still looks toned and terrific despite expecting her first child (a son) in September — and it already appears as though another winner is in waiting.

"I just had an ultrasound and I started talking to him and asking him to do something exciting," Ali said. "Then clearly he made the 'No. 1' symbol with his hand. It was amazing."

Lohans Promise to Shut Their Mouths

Media-lovin' Michael Lohan had one last hurrah with reporters outside a Nassau County courthouse in New York on Tuesday. He announced that he and ex-wife Dina Lohan would no longer be making public statements about their bitter custody battle for the sake of their children.

Michael is reportedly displeased about the fact that he hasn't been able to see his two youngest children, Ali and Cody, due to their filming commitments on the new E! reality show "Living Lohan." He said that Dina had missed "19 out of 31" appointments he had scheduled to visit his children and is now hoping that his former wife "lives up to what she agreed to."

A follow-up hearing has been set for July 14.

Speaking of Lohans and legal woes, Lindsay Lohan's BFF (and reported girlfriend) Samantha Ronson has lost round two against celeb blogger Perez Hilton.

Ronson first sued Hilton (whose real name is Mario Lavandiera) for defamation in July last year after he featured an article which suggested she planted the drugs that were found in Lindsay's car following her car crash in May last year.

The case was dismissed by the Los Angeles Superior Court in November, and thrown out again on Tuesday with the judge claiming that the star-studded DJ "waited too long" to file her second motion.
