Police say suspected drug traffickers in a southern Brazilian city randomly shot and killed at least nine people, including a 4-month-old boy.

A spokesman for the civil police in Curitiba says the killings occurred late Saturday on the outskirts of Curitiba, about 435 miles southwest of Rio de Janeiro.

No arrests have been made.

Witnesses say armed men in a car randomly shot the people along a street in the Uberaba neighborhood.
