ANCHORAGE, Alaska – A pilot who walked 20 miles for help after a fatal plane crash in Alaska's Denali National Park is being treated at a Seattle hospital for burns to his hands and face.
Harborview Medical Center spokeswoman Susan Gregg-Hanson says 35-year-old Daniel McGregor is in satisfactory condition.
Park spokeswoman Kris Fister says McGregor confirmed that remains found at the wreckage of the Cessna 185 are those of 67-year-old wolf biologist Gordon Haber, the only other person aboard the plane.
The wreckage was spotted Thursday in trees on a mountainside near the East Fork of the Toklat River.
Fister says officials hope to recover the remains Friday.
The small aircraft took off at about noon Wednesday and was supposed to return by nightfall.
