Ohio Teen Gets Juvenile Detention for Letting Toddler Use Marijuana

A teen will spend at least six months in juvenile detention for holding a toddler on her lap while her boyfriend gave the child marijuana.

Sixteen-year-old Angel Dailey of Pataskala in central Ohio read a short letter of apology before she was sentenced Thursday by a Licking County juvenile court judge. She said she was especially sorry to the 2-year-old and the child's mother.

Dailey pleaded guilty this month to a felony count of corrupting another with drugs and a misdemeanor count of endangering a child.

Her boyfriend, Melvin Blevins, is the toddler's uncle and faces charges in federal court.
