A mother who allegedly left her three children home alone for two weeks is due back in the U.K., according to her ex-husband.
Simten Sezgun left the children, aged 11, six and five, at a terraced house in Leeds, it is claimed.
Her ex-husband, Parvez Sadiq, said he was expecting her to fly back to the U.K. Tuesday and believes "she's been on honeymoon in Turkey with her new husband."
He dismissed reports that she had been in Kabul, Afghanistan. A message on her Facebook page said she was in Kabul "having a nice time."
The children were taken into care after a neighbor in Burley Park, Leeds, called police.
A West Yorkshire Police spokeswoman confirmed that officers had found the children alone in the house but said they were all "fit and well."
Police said they were now working with social services to establish whether any offenses had been committed.
Officers have contacted the children's mother and were trying to find out the circumstances behind the situation.
It has been alleged that a member of the extended family was supposed to be caring for the children while their mother was away.
Sadiq, 43, said he and his wife were separated and he had not had any contact with her or the three children for a while. He lives with their eldest child, a 14-year-old boy.
