A pair of Michigan men fell into a perfectly conceived trap when they allegedly worked tirelessly for three days to lure a 14-year-old boy over the Internet into having sex with them only to find out at the face-to-face meeting that the boy was an undercover cop.
Gordon Henry Deshon and Raymond Baker, both 42, of Romulus, Mich., were charged Saturday with child sexually abusive activity, disseminating obscene material to a minor and using the Internet to disseminate obscene material to a minor after authorities said they stated in Internet conversations last week that each had planned to have sex with the boy in spite of knowing he was 14, the Detroit News reported on Sunday.

The charges are felonies that carry a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.
According to the newspaper report, the two were arrested on Thursday after the men drove to the Detroit area for a scheduled get-together with the underage boy whom they allegedly planned to take back to Port Huron for “a weekend of sex.”
The report also stated the pair exposed themselves in front of a Web camera and performed oral sex on one another for the so-called boy to watch.
Deshon, a registered sex offender, lived in an apartment fewer than 100 yards from a public playground, in violation of the registry act, which states that sex offenders cannot live closer than 500 feet from a playground.
Both men were being held in the Wayne County Jail on $250,000 cash bond. They next were scheduled to appear in court July 26.
