CLARKSVILLE, Md. – A Maryland officer shot and killed a suspect in a Howard County bank robbery after a dramatic chase through three counties, according to Montgomery County police.
Police are looking for two other men.
Howard County cops say the men robbed the Bank of America on Clarksville at about 9:15 a.m. Thursday.
One person was shot in the hand during the robbery.
The men fled in a pickup truck, and police chased them through Prince George's County to the Burtonsville area of Montgomery County, where they abandoned their vehicle and fled.
When one suspect was found, he fired at officers and they fired back, striking and killing him, said Officer Melanie Brenner, a Montgomery County Police spokeswoman.
Authorities are still looking for the other two men, and local schools have been alerted.
