Albuquerque police say a man's confession to an attorney led them to a murder scene in New Mexico.

Police have arrested 37-year-old Ralph Montoya and booked him into jail on two counts of murder.

According to an arrest warrant, Montoya walked into an attorney's office Monday and said he killed two people the day before and that he was turning himself in.

The report said Montoya also told the attorney where the bodies were located.

Police went to a home in southeast Albuquerque. Officers looked through a front window of the home and saw two bodies, a 54-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman, on the floor.

Police say the victims were in a relationship with each other, and the woman was Montoya's ex-girlfriend.
