An eastbound Long Island Rail Road train has derailed at Jamaica station causing delays of 30 to 40 minutes, as possible minor injuries.
The railroad says the affected train was the 9:35 a.m. from Flatbush Avenue, Brooklyn due in Hempstead at 10:28. A train behind it, the 9:34 a.m. from Penn Station to Huntington was also affected and being delayed.
The New York City fire department says two trains may have bumped eachother causing as many as 20 minor injuries.
Fire Department spokesman Chris Villarroel said it was a "minor low impact collision" between two LIRR trains.
The LIRR said no one was injured.
