Los Angeles police say they found nothing during a five-hour search of a bank whose manager thought he heard noise in the vault.
Officer Gregory Baek says police with dogs ended their search at the Bank of America in Sherman Oaks shortly after 1:30 p.m. Monday without finding any intruders.
Sgt. Steve Gottschalk says police got a call from the manager of the San Fernando Valley branch at about 8 a.m. Monday saying he had heard a suspicious noise that appeared to come from the vault.
A section of nearby Ventura Boulevard was closed for several hours during the search.
