Israeli detectives say they have arrested a suspect in the 2003 killing of a U.S.- born teenager and he has confessed to three other murders, including that of a Czech tourist the same year.
Police say the suspect is a 32-year-old from an Arab village in northern Israel, the region where the killings took place.
They said Tuesday he was already in custody on suspicion of raping an Australian tourist when a tip-off led homicide detectives to him last month.
Dana Bennett was born in Chicago to Israeli immigrant parents and grew up in Los Angeles. She returned to Israel and had just started work in a restaurant in the northern town of Tiberias when she vanished, aged 18.
The FBI assisted the Israeli police in the investigation.
