Israel has reopened its border crossings with the Gaza Strip after closing them because of Palestinian rocket fire.
Israeli military spokesman Peter Lerner says the crossings opened this morning and he says food, fuel and cement are being sent into Gaza. Lerner also says Palestinians seeking medical treatment are being allowed into Israel.
Israel reached a truce accord with Gaza militants June 19th. Under the deal, Israel agreed to reopen the crossings to allow much-needed goods into Gaza. But since then, militants have repeatedly launched rockets into Israel and Israel has closed the crossings in response. The last closure was Friday. Both sides accuse each other of violating the cease-fire.
