Police are investigating a possible link between the February killings at a Lane Bryant store in suburban Chicago and a shooting on the city's South Side in April. Each incident left five people dead.
Tinley Park Police Commander Rick Bruno says investigators are looking for commonalities between the two incidents such as motive, especially since both were violent shootings.
Bruno says authorities often investigate if similar violent crimes are related.
During the investigation into the February 2nd shootings at Lane Bryant, authorities have pursued potential links with crimes in Michigan, Nevada and Dolton, Ill.
Bruno says there are no suspects in the Lane Bryant case.
The Chicago shootings happened during a home invasion. Three men face charges in those homicides.
