GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip – A Hamas (search) militant who was wounded in an Israeli missile strike two weeks ago died Saturday, hospital officials said.
Khaled Massoud (search) was a member of the Hamas military wing. He and two other Hamas activists had been targeted in the Aug. 26 strike in Gaza City, but witnesses said they managed to flee their car before the missiles hit.
Three bystanders, including an 11-year-old girl, were killed in the attack.
Massoud, 34, died at Shifa Hospital in Gaza City (search).
Massoud is the 12th Hamas member to have died in a series of air strikes begun in response to a Hamas bus bombing that killed 22 people in Jerusalem Aug. 19. Five bystanders also have been killed in the Israeli strikes.
