Wednesday, December 8:
Tonight ... "The O'Reilly Factor" is on!...
U.S. troops talked back to Defense Secretary Rumsfeld today in Kuwait. Disgrunted U.S. soldiers complained Rumsfeld about the lack of armor for their vehicles and long deployments, drawing a blunt retort from the Pentagon chief.
"You go to war with the Army you have," he said in a rare public airing of rank-and-file concerns among the troops.
We'll show you the tape of Rumsfeld's talk with the troops and talk to two military analysts about their concerns.
Plus, we'll look at how some editorial cartoonists are taking shots at minority members of the Bush cabinet. Are they crossing a line? We'll ask Ann Coulter author of the new book, "How to Talk to a Liberal (If You Must)".
Also, what's really going on inside the AARP (search)? Do they have an agenda? What is it? We'll have the results of our special "Factor" investigation.
These stories and much more including a brand-new edition of our world-famous "Talking Points Memo" and "The Most Ridiculous Item of the Day!"
About the Show
"Other interview news shows are guest-driven," says Emmy award-winning broadcast journalist Bill O'Reilly. "'The O'Reilly Factor' is driven by me. I will not stand for 'spin.' I look for guests who will stand up and verbally battle for what they believe in."
"The O'Reilly Factor" uncovers news items from the established wisdom and goes against the grain of the more traditional interview-style programs. O'Reilly's signature "No Spin Zone" cuts through the rhetoric as he interviews the players who make the story newsworthy.
Pushing beyond just the headlines, "The O'Reilly Factor" also features issues from local markets that do not find the national spotlight on other newscasts. According to O'Reilly, "Just because a story originates from somewhere the networks typically avoid, doesn't mean it contains less challenging issues, or compelling ideas."
