Italian authorities on Wednesday released chilling photos showing the interior of the apartment of British student Meredith Kercher the night she was murdered and sexually assaulted, the Daily Mail reported.
The photos, which can be viewed on the newspaper's Web site and are graphic, show blood spattered over the sink, toilet and cabinet of the bathroom she shared with American student Amanda Knox, who is one of three suspects.

Kercher, a student from Leeds University in England and enrolled for a year of study in Perugia, Italy, was found dead Nov. 2 in the apartment. She died from a stab wound to the neck, and prosecutors said she was killed resisting a sexual assault.
Knox, 20, and her Italian ex-boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito, 23, were jailed Nov. 6 and a judge has ruled that both can be held for as long as a year while the investigation continues.
Pools of blood, as well as Kercher's blood-stained jeans and bra, can be seen in photographs of her bedroom.
The Daily Mail reports Knox's DNA was found in blood on the bathroom faucet and sink plug.
Sollecito's DNA, as well as that of third suspect, Rudy Guede, was found on Kercher's bra, according to the Daily Mail.
All suspects deny wrongdoing.
