RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. – Former first lady Betty Ford was undergoing routine tests Thursday at Eisenhower Medical Center, a Ford family spokeswoman said.
Mrs. Ford, who turned 88 last month, has been in good health and there was nothing to be concerned about, spokeswoman Penny Circle said.
"She's been fine. It's just tests, just an appointment for tests. That's all there is to it," Circle said.
Former President Ford, who was hospitalized for 12 days in January with pneumonia, was at the couple's Thunderbird Estates home, about a mile from Eisenhower Medical Center.
"He's here. He's doing well," Circle said.
Ford, 92, left Eisenhower Medical Center on Jan. 25 after a bout with pneumonia. The nation's oldest living former president and his wife have lived in the Southern California town of Rancho Mirage since leaving the White House in 1977.
